The device has an armature (3) made of magnetic materials and completely or partially guided into current-suppliable coils (4). The armature is guided against an end stop. An end position of the armature is determined by detecting a discontinuity point of gradient of current in the coils, where the current is generated by spring-back of the armature from the end stop. A current measuring device determines the current in the coils, where a Hall-effect magnetometer or a resistor element is provided as the current measuring device.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Betrieb eines Hubmagnets (1) und umfasst einen aus magnetisierbarem Material bestehenden Anker (3), welcher vollständig oder teilweise in einer bestrombaren Spule (4) geführt ist und durch Aufmagnetisieren in der Spule (4) bewegbar ist. Der Anker (3) ist gegen einen Endanschlag geführt. Eine Endlage des Ankers (3) wird durch Erfassen einer Unstetigkeitsstelle des Verlaufs des Spulenstroms, welche durch ein Rückfedern des Ankers (3) vom Endanschlag verursacht ist, bestimmt.
