Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011038710A1] The invention relates to a stack of labels, comprising a plurality of self-adhesive labels (10,11,12,13...) coated with adhesive on one side, and a method for affixing self-adhesive labels coated with adhesive on the underside thereof to product containers (22). According to the invention, the labels (10,11,12,13...), which have been cut to the desired end shape, are bundled into a stack (21) without a carrier web or other intermediate layers, wherein the labels are arranged at a slight offset to each other such that an edge strip (101) of the adhesive-coated label side of the upper label is free and the adhesive-coated side of the other labels detachably adheres to the adhesive-free upper side (112) of the immediately adjacent self-adhesive label (11). In order to affix the upper self-adhesive label, the edge strip is first fixed on a product container and then the entire label is simultaneously removed from the label stack and affixed to the product container over the full area of the label using the adhesive-coated side of the label.
