[origin: EP2485344A1] The jack socket has plug housing (10) having receiving space into which plug shaft of jack plug is inserted. The housing has several contacts (20,30) having terminal portions (21,31,41,51,61) parallel to longitudinal central axis (12) of receiving space of plug housing. The tip contact point and tip-contact switch pad comprising region of contact portion (32) of the tip contact has a longitudinal extension which is transverse to longitudinal central axis. The tip contact point is removed from free end (34) of tip contact to which contact portion of tip contact is connected. The jack socket has plug housing having receiving space into which plug shaft of the jack plug from an insertion end with respect to longitudinal center axis of the receiving space is inserted. The housing has sleeve contact (20) with contact portion for contacting contact sleeve of jack plug. A tip contact (30) has contact portion which is deflected during insertion of jack plug from contact tip from initial position into end position and is contactable in the inserted state of jack plug from contact tip at tip contact point. A tip-switching contact has contact portion which rests in initial position of contact portion of tip contact at tip-contact switch pad of contact portion of tip contact and from which contact portion of tip contact in end position of contact portion of tip contact is lifted. The terminal portions parallel to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing. The tip contact point and tip-switching contact pad comprising region of contact portion of the tip contact has a longitudinal extension which is transverse to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing. The tip contact point and the tip-switch contact pad of the contact portion of the tip contact are spaced apart in transverse to the longitudinal central axis of the receiving space of the plug housing. The tip contact point is removed from the free end of the tip contact to which the contact portion of the tip contact is connected.
