Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011043716A1] When planting plants (P), a recess is formed in the ground (M) by the operation of a planting means (2) at a first end (3) of a plant channel of a tool (15), a plant is introduced into a second end (4) of the tool and the plant is allowed to fall through the tool and down into the recess. One or several insect protection sleeves (40) are introduced into and are supported in a protection channel (20) that is extended along the plant channel and prior to each introduction of a plant into the plant channel a protection sleeve is introduced into the plant channel at a position (1A) between its ends. After receiving the protection sleeve in the plant channel a plant is introduced into the second end thereof and falls into the introduced protection sleeve and the protection sleeve is allowed to fall down into the recess together with a plant received in said protection sleeve.
