Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011042047A1] The invention relates to a device for cutting paper webs, comprising a substantially continuously operated area for feeding paper and a discontinuous area for transversely separating the paper web. A buffer area (15) is provided for coupling the continuous and discontinuous areas, wherein at least one box-like container (17) open at the top is provided, into which the paper web(s) (3, 3') are guided so as to be looped in a freely suspended manner. The buffer area is arranged after a longitudinal cutting apparatus (9) for producing at least two longitudinal webs (3,3'), whereby at least two webs extending separately and adjacently to one another are guided in the container or at least two containers are arranged adjacently to one another or adjacently to one another at an offset, wherein the paper webs are guided into said containers.
