[origin: WO2011042629A1] The invention relates to a device (10) for lifting and/or tilting a lawn-mowing machine, in particular a ride-on lawn mower (11), comprising: a stationary chassis element (12) intended to rest on the ground; and a chassis element (14) which can receive at least one wheel of the machine and which can move about an axle (13) borne by the stationary chassis element, between a storage position in which the mobile chassis element (14) extends substantially in the plane formed by the stationary chassis element (12) and at least one raised position in which the mobile chassis element (14) is moved away from the stationary chassis element (12). According to the invention, such a device comprises a jack (24) having: a body (241) that is solidly connected to the stationary chassis element (12); and a rod (242) which can move in relation to the body and which is solidly connected to the mobile chassis element (14), said jack being mounted in such a way as to extend substantially outside of the area (15) defined by the stationary (12) and mobile (14) chassis elements in the raised position.
