Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011006674A2] The invention relates to a method for subsequently attaching a projecting outer part (3) to an existing load-bearing building part (2) using a structural element for thermal insulation between the outer part and building part. The structural element for thermal insulation (1) comprises an insulating body (10) that is to be disposed between the outer part and the building part and has reinforcing elements (4, 5, 8), which traverse said body and can be connected to both structural parts. At least pressure elements (8) are provided as reinforcing elements. The method comprises at least the following steps: positioning the structural element for thermal insulation (1) in the region of the building part (2) leaving a horizontal gap (a) between the pressure element (8) and the load-bearing building part (2), and filling the gap between the pressure element and the load-bearing building part with mix-in-situ concrete to produce a pressure distribution element (9). The present invention also relates to a structural element for thermal insulation between two structural parts, wherein the structural element (1) is adapted in this way for subsequent installation in existing buildings in that, at the end faces (8a) facing the building part (2), the pressure elements (8) have a separate pressure distribution element (9), and in that the pressure distribution element extends substantially outside of the insulating body (10) and consists of mix-in-situ concrete.
