[origin: WO2011045159A2] The invention relates to a household appliance (HG), in particular a household dishwashing machine, at least having a treatment chamber (BR) which can be opened and closed by means of an appliance door (GT) of the household appliance (HG) for loading and/or unloading and furthermore at least having an operating indicator (BA) having at least a visual and/or acoustic indicator means (AZ) which is designed at least to display and/or signal a completed treatment process of an item to be treated in the treatment chamber (BR). According to the invention, there are appliance door position detection means (GTE) and upon detection of at least one selected appliance door position by the appliance door position detection means (GTE), at least the indicator means (AZ) is deactivated.
