[origin: WO2011045099A1] The invention relates to a roller press (10) for high-pressure comminution of material to be ground in a nip, comprising two counter-rotating rolls (14, 14') forming a nip, through which the material to be comminuted passes under high pressure during comminution and forms a break in the structure of the material to be ground in the nip. The roller press further comprises a feed device (11, 12), which evenly feeds the material to be ground to the nip, wherein the volume of the fed material to be ground forms a compaction zone (15), which extends from approximately the center of the nip to slightly beyond the center of the nip. According to the invention, a vibration device (17), which protrudes into the compaction zone (15), is employed to compress the material to be ground immediately prior to the same being drawn into the nip. In this way, the draw-in behavior of the high-pressure roller press is improved, and thus the effectiveness thereof, and the roller press performs at a uniform pace.
