[origin: WO2011045197A1] The invention relates to a sheet material, in particular in the shape of a roof sheathing having opposite edge regions forming an overlapping region when laying two adjacent webs (1) of the sheet material. In order to improve the laying properties, according to the invention the edge region (1', 1") is magnetically equipped such that the edge regions magnetically attract one another. The edge regions can be connected to each other by means of two adhesive layers (2, 3), one adhesive layer (2, 3) each is associated with one of the two edge regions. One adhesive layer (2) can comprise a ferromagnetic metal powder, and the other adhesive layer (3) can comprise a permanent magnetic powder.
