Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2299029A1] The element (1) has a protection edge section (10) arranged at a partial area (9) of an edge surface (8) of a base body (3) that is made of wood or wood-based material. Another protection edge section (12) is attached to another partial area (11) of the edge surface and/or to an exterior surface of the former edge section. The latter edge section is attached to a contact area at the former edge section. The protection edge sections are made of plastic materials by injection molding. The plastic materials consist of permanent elastic plastic i.e. thermoplastic polyurethane. The base body is made of wood plastic composite slab, wood plastic mixture plate, thermoplastic or duroplastic coating plate and wood-based material such as wooden plate, three-layer plate, glue wooden plate, plywood, oriented stranded board plate, chip board and hard fiber board. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a shuttering element with protection edge.
