Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011045214A1] The invention relates to a circuit breaker, in particular for low voltages, having a switch shaft (1a) and a contact lever (4) rotationally mounted and extending transverse to the longitudinal axis of the switch shaft (1a) and protruding out of the switch shaft (1a), said shaft carrying a movable contact on a side of the outer contour of the contact piece (5), and comprising a recess (6) on the opposite side of the outer contour thereof for suspending a pin (7) having a force applied thereto on both sides of the contact lever (4) by means of one spring (7a) each, each applying a torque to the contact lever (4) in the closing direction. In order to ensure the function of the circuit breaker by means of a cover having a simple design and simple to assemble, the invention proposes that the two springs (7a) each comprise a cover element (10) extending along the spring (7a) and each disposed between the spring (7a) and the arc formed between the contact pieces (5) when the circuit breaker is opened.
