[origin: EP2489295A2] The dishwasher (1) comprises a washing chamber (7) for receiving items to be washed, an inlet (13) for influx of the washing liquid (S) into the dishwasher, and an inlet valve (18), by which the amount of washing liquid is regulated. A controlling and regulation unit (2) is formed for verifying the operability opened inlet valve by a measuring unit (38).
