[origin: EP2489484A1] The cylindrical body (2) has two bearing pins and/or bearing bore holes projecting at ends of the cylindrical body and aligned coaxial to a longitudinal axis (9). Grooves (7) are provided in a circular manner along a circumference of the outer surface of the cylindrical body, and emanate from the outer surface of the cylindrical body. The grooves are aligned parallel to a plane extending perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical body. End sections of the cylindrical body are attached at the bearing pins and/or the bearing bore holes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a cutting device for cutting textiles, textile fibers or leather goods (2) a method for mounting a cutter that describes a helix.
