Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2489925A1] The unit (1) has a light source (2) i.e. LED, emitting Lambertian or isotropic light. A lens (3) is associated with the light source to produce a complementary light beam, and has a corrugated face (4) to obtain the complementary light beam with straightened side edges. The lens has a basic geometric surface that corresponds to an output face of a stigmatic lens. The corrugated face of the lens has undulations (5) with variable slope that is measured with respect to the basic geometric surface, where each undulation is formed in a ridge (7). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a signaling and/or lighting device for a motor vehicle (2) a method for producing a light beam i.e. high-way beam.
