[origin: EP2490306A2] The crimping tool (1) has a punch (3) and anvil (4) for producing a crimp connection between crimping portion (17) and conductor. The punch movable in a holder (2) is guided, and is operatively connected with a contact element (11). A control device (5) receives force to enable a movement of the punch. The stop elements (16,18) are provided to limit the maximum displacement of the punch in the direction of anvil. The punch and the abutment element are in operative connection through a spring element (15).
