[origin: EP2492016A1] The gear motor comprises a transmission (1), and an electric motor (2) built inside a housing (3) and having a rotor (21) and a stator (22) arranged in parallel to the position of a gear shaft. An upper bearing cap (23) and a lower bearing cap (24) are mounted on the opposite end faces on the rotor and/or stator. A torsional vibration damper (12) comprising a torsionally flexible primary portion (211) and a secondary portion (212), is formed between the lower bearing cap and the bottom portion of electric motor housing.
