The tool holder has a receiving sleeve (20) that includes a cylindrical or prismatic cavity (21) for receiving a machine tool along a working axis (4). An elongated hole (30) is formed in the receiving sleeve for receiving a locking element in parallel to the working axis. The grooves (71,72) are provided in an inner surface (35) of the receiving sleeve such that the holes in the inner surface of sleeve are prolonged along the working axis.

Eine Werkzeugaufnahme hat eine Aufnahmehülse (20), die längs einer Arbeitsachse (4) einen gerad-prismatischen oder zylindrischen Hohlraum (21) zum Aufnehmen eines Werkzeugs und ein Langloch (30) zum Aufnehmen eines Verriegelungskörpers (32) aufweist. Eine parallel zur Arbeitsachse verlaufende Nut (71,72) ist an einer Innenfläche (35) der Aufnahmehülse (20) vorgesehen. Die Nut (71,72) ist das Langloch (30) an der Innenfläche längs der Arbeitsachse (4) verlängernd angeordnet.
