Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2492580A2] The lighting device has a semiconductor light source (5) that emits light rays, a primary optics for collecting the portion of light beams, and a secondary optics (12) for imaging the portion of focused light beams in a light exit direction on a road ahead of vehicle to produce a desired light distribution. The primary and secondary optics are installed along vehicle alignment direction. The light beams are collected at an interface of an optical head (8) made of transparent material set with total reflective properties, based on total internal reflection and refraction.
