Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011051009A1] The invention substantially consists of improving a safety helmet around bone conduction speakers and directional sensors such that the carrier can be alerted of positional information in the surroundings thereof via spatially directed auditive signals - relative to the orientation of the scull. The notification of the user is carried out via different context-dependent auditive signals calculated in real time from the position of the user, the orientation of the head and the position of the information, these signals being output via said bone conduction speakers, wherein the perceived sound source equals the position of the information. Depending on whether the user carries a mobile phone, a PDA, table PC or other handheld computer, the user is notified in different ways about a changing state of the software or the system. The bone conduction transmission ensures that the notification signal can be perceived independently of ambient noise. The invention is intended to be mainly used in the domains of location based services, augmented reality, human machine interface (HMI) and industry.
