[origin: WO2012037584A1] The aim of the invention is to resharpen a grinding tool, in particular a grinding wheel (1) that is provided for trimming the edges (5) of a glass panel (7). This is achieved in that a resharpening tool (21) is associated with the grinding wheel (1), said resharpening tool being constantly or intermittently active in order to resharpen the grinding wheel (1) during the operation of the grinding wheel (1) to trim edges (5). Halting production for resharpening is thus not necessary, and a constantly unvarying quality of the result of the grinding work (trimmed edge (5) of a glass panel (7)) is ensured.
