Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011051339A1] A description is given of a wooden element containing natural rubber, introduced by impregnation with, impingement of or saturation with a rubber latex and subsequent drying. The rubber introduced into the wooden element can also be vulcanized. The advantageous use of this wooden element in buildings, domestic fixtures and fittings and in vehicles on land and in water as well as a method for the production thereof are also described. This wooden element is distinguished by a particularly high degree of resistance to rotting. Moreover, in addition to further advantageous properties, it has a desirable degree of elasticity.
