[origin: WO2011051060A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection device for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber (18) of an internal combustion engine, having a control valve (36) comprising a valve piece (4) in which a valve body (37) is guided such that it can be moved back and forth to represent a valve seat (39). In order to minimize leakage during operation of a fuel injection device, the valve body (37) has a first contact surface (71) on one end which is arranged when the valve seat (39) is closed in a plane with a second contact surface (72) designed on the valve piece (4) such that the two contact surfaces (71, 72) contact a common opposite surface (73) in a sealing manner.
