[origin: WO2011051376A1] The invention relates to a method for thermally characterizing a portion (104) of a first material of elongate shape on which a portion (106) of a second electrically conductive material of elongate shape is arranged; the method comprises the following steps: a) determining the R(T) property of the portion of the second material, b) applying an electric pulse current ? between ends of the portion of the second material and measuring the pulse harmonic 3? of the electric voltage between said ends for various values of ?, c) calculating the thermal conductivity coefficient for the portion of the first material from the values of the harmonic and R(T), one width of the portion (104) of the first material being between approximately 0.9 and 1.1 times the width of the portion of the second material, the portion of the first material being surrounded by a thermal insulating material 112.
