[origin: WO2011051856A1] The invention relates to a cook top, comprising at least two heating elements (10a-10d) and a power electronics arrangement (12) for connecting to a single phase (14) of a household power grid, wherein the power electronics arrangement (12) comprises a plurality of power supply devices (22a, 22b), each supplying one or more heating elements (10a-10d) with heating currents, and further comprising a switch arrangement (24) having a plurality of electromechanical relays (26a-26d; 28a, 28b) for connecting and/or disconnecting the power supply device to or from the heating elements (10a-10d). In order to design the association between power supply devices (22a, 22b) and heating elements (10a-10d) in a more flexible manner, to reduce the number of switching processes required for the alternating use of a power supply device (22a, 22b) for a plurality of heating elements (10a-10d), and to simplify compliance with electromagnetic compatibility standards, at least one of the heating elements (10a-10d) is fixed to one of at least two output poles of at least two of the electromechanical relays (26a-26d).
