Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011055096A1] The invention relates to a unit (1) for transforming a food product (2), comprising a container (3) defining an inner space (4) in which a quantity of food product (2) is packaged. The inner space (4A) occupied by the quantity of food product (2) is smaller than the total inner space (4). The invention is characterised in that: the total inner space (4) corresponds to the volume of the quantity of transformed product (2) following absorption of the amount of liquid required to transform same, said container (3) being sufficiently rigid such that the quantity of transformed product (2) is moulded by the pressure (F) exerted thereon by the container; and said container includes an opening area (6), a closure means (7) for sealing the opening area (6), and a gripping means (10). The invention can be used for transforming food products.
