[origin: WO2011054748A1] The invention relates to a device (1) for inductively heating workpieces (9) having a workpiece receiving area (7) and having an electrical line arrangement (5) generating an alternating magnetic field for inductively heating workpieces (9) disposed in the workpiece receiving area (7) when connected to a source (3) of alternating current. According to the invention, the device (1) has a housing (11) enclosing the electrical line arrangement (5). The housing (11) has a housing wall (12) closing the housing (11) toward the workpiece receiving area (7). A flow path (20) for fluid is formed in the housing (11) and runs between the housing wall (12) closing off the housing (11) from the workpiece receiving area (7) and the electrical line arrangement (5). The heat entering the housing (11) from a heated workpiece (9) in the workpiece receiving area (7) can thereby be dissipated by means of the fluid flow (20) flowing in the housing (11).
