Abstract (en)
The method involves detecting a user-side acoustic knock signal input by a knock sensor (2). The detected signal is evaluated by an evaluation unit (4). An action is initiated during identification of a predetermined signal sequence by a part of the evaluation unit, where the action is control of a signal output device (8) for signal output. Another action is initiated during identification of another predetermined signal sequence by the part of the evaluation unit. Acoustic information about operating status of a household appliance (1) are output by the signal output device. The latter action is actuation of a door opening mechanism. A loudspeaker, a summer and an LED are used as the signal output device. An independent claim is also included for a household appliance.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Haushaltgeräts (1), insbesondere eines vollintegrierten Haushaltgeräts (1), bei dem mittels eines Klopfsensors (2) eine nutzerseitige akustische Klopfsignaleingabe detektiert und das detektierte Signal von einer Auswerteeinheit (4) ausgewertet wird. Um das Anwendungsspektrum des Verfahrens zum Betrieb eines Haushaltgerätes (1) zu erweitern, wird mit der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, dass seitens der Auswerteeinheit (4) bei Identifikation einer ersten vorgebbaren Signalfolge eine erste Aktion und bei Identifikation einer zweiten vorgebbaren Signalfolge eine zweite Aktion veranlasst wird.
