[origin: EP2497855A1] The machine (1) has a leaching container (3) arranged in housing (2), and a drum (4) rotatably mounted on the container. A flush tank (6) is formed as a pusher (5) and provided with chamber elements (7) for provision of powdery and liquid detergent, which are flushed by initiated washing liquid from the respective chamber elements into the container. The pusher is arranged in a slide compartment (9) behind a front wall (10) of the housing, and clamping elements include a gripping strip (11) formed as a closure for an opening (12) of the slide compartment on the front wall. An independent claim is also included for a method for cleaning a slide compartment for a flush tank of a washing machine.
