[origin: EP2497867A1] The display plate has an infrared light source and proximity sensor which are arranged behind the viewing window. The proximity sensor works on a light-reflection basis and is sensitive to the wavelength zone of infrared light source with which the flushing device is triggered. A display light source is provided within the visible light zone (22). The back coating of the plate has a transmission (10) in the range between 1 percent and 15 percent for the visible light zone and a transmission of more than 60 percent for the near-infrared light zone (24).
