The domestic appliance has appliance door (1) comprising door handle (3) with handle (7) connected over handle support (5). The handle has elongated profile portion with a non-circular cross-sectional profile provided in longitudinal direction of extension. The constant cross-sectional profile in sections at rotational angular position in longitudinal direction of extension is varied. An independent claim is included for method for manufacturing household appliance.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Haushaltsgerät mit einer Gerätetür (1), deren Türgriff (3) ein Griffstück (7) aufweist, das über zumindest einen Griffstückhalter (5) mit der Gerätetür (1) verbunden ist, welches Griffstück (7) ein langgestrecktes Profilteil mit einem unrunden Querschnittsprofil ist, das in einer Längserstreckungsrichtung (x) des Profilteils konstant bleibt. Erfindungsgemäß variiert das in der Längserstreckungsrichtung (x) konstante Querschnittsprofil des Profilteils zumindest abschnittsweise in einer Drehwinkellage (±).
