Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2498147A1] The unit (2) has an alarm release wheel (118) for releasing of a secondary strike, which is different from a main strike released by a repeater striking mechanism. The release wheel and a detent ratchet (9) are independent of each other and controlled by different control units selected to actuate the secondary strike or the main strike, respectively. The release wheel and the detent ratchet are both arranged to cooperate with a hook for allowing transmission of energy to the mechanism to play the secondary strike or the main strike, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a secondary strike drive mechanism for a striking timepiece.
