[origin: WO2011058243A1] The present invention relates to a device for placing a dental splint, said splint being a flexible wire, strip, or grating made of metal, synthetic, or composite material, said splint to be attached to the surfaces of at least two adjacent teeth in order to immobilize the teeth relative to each other. Said device for placing a dental splint comprises: at least one flexible, elongate guiding holder that supports said splint; at least one positioning element that is slidably mounted on said guiding holder behind said splint and is to be positioned so as to be substantially aligned with an interproximal space between two consecutive teeth; and tightening means that are coupled to said positioning element and are, during the tightening process, to bring said positioning element closer to the teeth to be secured, such as to bring the splint in contact with said surfaces and have the splint closely fit the shape thereof.
