Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011057977A1] The invention relates to a side guard mesh comprising at least one wire mesh (2) comprising longitudinal bars (3) and transverse bars (4), and an outer frame (7) bounding the wire mesh (2). In order to advantageously develop a side guard mesh of the type indicated above, the invention proposes that the outer frame (7) comprises at least four frame segments (8, 9), of which one frame segment each (8, 9) extends along an edge section of the wire mesh (2), wherein two frame segments (8, 9) each are releaseably connected to each other at the corners of the wire mesh (2), in particular screwed together, such that frame segments (8, 9) are made of an aluminum alloy, a longitudinal groove (11) comprising at least one undercut (12) is formed on the frame segments (8, 9), and the edge side longitudinal bars (3) and the edge side transverse bars (4) of the wire mesh (2) engage in the undercut (12) of the longitudinal groove (11) on the positionally associated frame segment (8, 9).
