[origin: WO2011057966A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door hinge, having a pillar part that can be mounted on a vehicle body and a door part that can be mounted on a motor vehicle door, pivotally connected to each other by means of a hinge pin rotationally fixedly connected to the pillar part and the door part and pivotally connected to the pillar part and door part, and a catching device having a catch body carrier rotationally fixedly connected to the hinge pin and extending radially to same and comprising a catch body, and a catching element, different from the pillar part and the door part and adjustable with respect to the catch body carrier and disposed coaxially to the hinge pin axis and engaging with the catch body, comprising at least one catch mark, said element being disposed inside a housing enclosing the hinge pin and the catch body carrier. In order to create a motor vehicle door hinge of the type indicated above that can be produced at low cost, according to the invention, the housing comprises an upper and a lower housing opening opposite each other in the direction of the hinge axis and closed by correspondingly designed closure elements, wherein both housing openings are designed for allowing access by the catch body carrier having the hinge pin to the interior of the housing.
