Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2011141282A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a high-pressure discharge lamp, having the following steps: a) a voltage having a first frequency is applied to the high-pressure discharge lamp during a first time slice, and said voltage is modulated at a second frequency and a first modulation factor, b) a voltage having a third frequency is applied to the high-pressure discharge lamp during a second time slice, and said frequency is modulated at a fourth frequency and a second modulation factor, c) a voltage of a fifth frequency is applied to the high-pressure discharge lamp during a third time slice. The invention further relates to an operating device for operating a high-pressure discharge lamp, performing the above method.
