Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2500475A2] The method involves directly or indirectly measuring a temperature profile of fluid i.e. water, in a fluid pipeline, and evaluating the measured data. Automatic flushing of the fluid pipeline is triggered, ended, inhibited and/or continued based on the result of the evaluation. The flushing process is continued until a temperature threshold and/or a temperature gradient threshold is exceeded. The flushing process is triggered if constant temperature is measured for a specific time period, where the temperature is measured at a connector piece (1) e.g. T-piece, of the pipeline. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic flushing of fluid pipelines.
