[origin: EP2500679A2] The element (100) has a vacuum insulation panel element (110), a compensating element i.e. compensating layer (120), and a contact surface contacting a surface of a refrigeration and/or freezer device, where the insulation element is adapted to the surface that is formed as a structured and/or uneven surface or surface provided with layers. The vacuum panel element is designed as a rectangular or square-shaped vacuum insulation panel. The compensating element has a partially flexible supporting layer i.e. plastic film, and a gas blanket arranged in a sealed container i.e. sealed film bag.
