[origin: EP2500698A1] The device has a transmitter that is assigned to an object and it emits light, which is polarized by a polarization filter. The transmitter and an analyzer are rotated based on an angle of rotation relative to each other. A receiver is provided to measure light intensity. A magnetized element (30) is arranged at an object. A sensor (32) is arranged at another object for detecting magnetic filed. The magnetized element is arranged at the rotating object.
