Abstract (en)
The method involves establishing a connection between a fixed terminal (1) and a mobile terminal (7). An interface (8) having interactive links for controlling the fixed terminal is provided to the mobile terminal. Activation of one of the interactive links is translated into a fixed terminal control information, when a user of the mobile terminal activates the interactive link. The control information is applied to the fixed terminal. A remote control of an adjoining terminal (2) e.g. set-top box, is used to display the interactive link on the fixed terminal. The interactive links are obtained using a computer keyboard type sub-interface (11), volume controlling field (13), channel changing field (14) and sub-fields (15a-15f) corresponding to desired channels. An independent claim is also included for a local area network architecture.

L'invention concerne un procédé de contrôle à distance d'un terminal fixe (1) au moyen d'un terminal mobile (7) dans un réseau local, ledit procédé prévoyant d'établir une connexion entre ledit terminal fixe et ledit terminal mobile, ledit procédé prévoyant en outre de fournir audit terminal mobile une interface (8) qui présente des liens interactifs (11, 13, 14, 15a-15f) de contrôle dudit terminal fixe puis, lorsque l'utilisateur dudit terminal mobile active un lien interactif (11, 13, 14, 15a-15f) de ladite interface, de traduire ladite activation en une information de contrôle dudit terminal fixe et d'appliquer ladite information audit terminal fixe.
