[origin: EP2502860A2] The device (1) has carrier rolls (2, 3) at which a winding roll (5) rests and rotates during winding. The rolls are mounted in a bearing device with bearings (7, 8) at roll ends. The bearings have a hydrostatic support with a bearing pocket fed with constant volumetric flow of hydraulic fluid. The bearing pocket stays in connection with a gas pressure reservoir by a throttle. The bearing pocket stays in connection with constant pressure by the throttle. The throttle is connected with a positioning device actuated from outside.
