Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a washing machine (2), in particular a washing machine (2) with a recirculation circuit (28), comprising: a tub (4) with a sump (8), a draining circuit (10), wherein the sump (8) is fluidly connected to the draining circuit (10), and a filter element (12), which is removably positionable in the sump (8), wherein the filter element (12) comprises a valve (14) for selectively obstructing the passage of liquid from the tub (4) to the draining circuit (10).
