Abstract (en)
The method involves classifying a vehicle (12) from multiple measurements of two different physical quantities, where each measurement is performed by a separate sensor device (16,22). One of the sensor devices is comprised of an induction loop (20) of an induction loop detector, where the sensor device is also provided with a magnetic field sensor. The field strength distribution of the magnetic field of the Earth is determined. An independent claim is provided for a sensor system with a sensor device for classifying a measurement area.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Klassifizieren eines durch einen Messbereich (18) mindestens einer Sensoreinrichtung (16; 22, 27) fahrenden Fahrzeugs (12). Das Klassifizieren des Fahrzeugs (12) wird aus verschiedenen Messungen von mindestens zwei unterschiedlichen, voneinander unabhängigen physikalischen Größen abgeleitet.
