[origin: EP2505374A1] Recording material comprises a sheet-shaped substrate and a heat-sensitive recording layer as a final outer layer, where the heat-sensitive recording layer is formed from a first coating composition comprising one or more dye precursors, a developer comprising N-(p-toluenesulfonyl)-N'-3-(p-toluenesulfonyl-oxy-phenyl)-urea, a binder and at least two pigments comprising kaolin, silicon (di)oxide, bentonite, talc, calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide, preferably boehmite. An independent claim is included for the preparation of the heat-sensitive recording material comprising forming a sheat-like substrate, preparing the first coating composition, applying the first coating composition on the substrate for forming the first heat-sensitive recording layer, drying the first coating composition and rolling up the sheet-like substrate with the formed heat-sensitive recording layer.
