Abstract (en)

The carrier i.e. skid (10), has left and right seated support bases (16a, 16b) partially formed from material e.g. aluminum metal foam and/or plastic foam and/or ceramic foam, with cellular structures (34, 36). The material exhibits closed cavities as the cellular structures. A section of the support bases is formed as a composite component made of the material, hollow profiles (32), a wear resistant sliding surface, a lower flange and an upper flange. The composite component is made of steel and aluminum metal foam. An independent claim is also included for a system for thermal treatment of an object.

Ein Werkstückträger (10) zum Fördern von Gegenständen (12), insbesondere von Fahrzeugkarosserien, in Anlagen zu deren thermischer Behandlung, weist mindestens zwei Auflagekufen (16) auf. Um bei den thermischen Prozessen weniger Prozessenergie zur Erwärmung bzw. Kühlung der zu behandelnden Gegenstände (12) aufzuwenden, sind die Auflagekufen (16) zumindest teilweise aus einem Material mit zellularen Strukturen (34; 36) gebildet.
