[origin: EP2506281A1] The temperature-dependent switch (10) has a temperature-dependent switching mechanism received in a housing having an upper portion having an external connector (22) and an electrically conductive lower portion having an outer-lying base (24). A carrier plate (25) is arranged with a heating resistor (28) on the upper side (26). The heating resistor is connected to the solder pads (27,29). The heating resistor is soldered to the base using the solder pads, such that the base is soldered to the solder pad (27).
