[origin: EP2506669A2] The device has a power module (12a) comprising two heating frequency units (34a) for supplying high frequency alternating current to independent heating units (14a-20a) e.g. resistance heater, and a power supply unit (38a) whose output exhibits only one reference potential (42a). Two equipotential connection paths (22a, 24a) are arranged between the power module and a filter assembly (10a) to transfer a larger amount of the energy of the filter assembly to the frequency units. The power module has a switching unit (36a) for connecting one frequency unit to one of the heating units. The switching unit is a bidirectional unipolar switch.
