The household appliance has induction heating apparatus (12) comprising induction heating units (20,22,24,26) to which frequency switching units (30,32) are connected through switching units (62,64). A control unit (34) is provided for operating the induction heating units in two different modes. The resistors (80,81) are connected with induction heating units respectively. An independent claim is included for method for operating induction heating apparatus.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Induktionsheizvorrichtung, insbesondere einer Induktionskochfeldvorrichtung, mit zumindest einer ersten und einer zweiten Heizfrequenzeinheit (30, 32), zumindest einer ersten Induktionsheizeinheit (20, 22, 24, 26), die der ersten Heizfrequenzeinheit (30, 32) zugeordnet ist und zumindest einer zweiten Induktionsheizeinheit (20, 22, 24, 26), die der zweiten Heizfrequenzeinheit (30, 32) zugeordnet ist. Um eine Komfortsteigerung zu erreichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die Induktionsheizvorrichtung eine Resonanzeinheit (80, 81) aufweist, der die beiden Induktionsheizeinheiten (20, 22, 24, 26) zugeordnet sind.
