[origin: WO2011064732A1] The invention relates to a device for maintaining the dryness of the atmosphere of an annealing furnace (1) for a metal strip (2) including, before the entrance of the furnace, a means (M) suitable for reducing the presence of water on the strip (2) prior to the insertion thereof in the annealing furnace (1); the means (M) including at least one gas cutter (D) per strip surface, supplied with a dry gas having a dew point of -40 ºC to -70 ºC, and producing a gas jet which impacts the surface of the strip across the entire width thereof in order to release the moisture found on the surface of the strip.
