[origin: EP2508406A1] The structure (1) has a set of elongated elements (3, 5, 7, 9, 11) i.e. tube pieces, provided as supporting elements, where one of the elongated elements is connected to an end of the other elongated element. A projection (15) and a recess are formed in connection regions (19a-19c) of the elongated elements or at the end of the latter elongated element such that the projection is engaged with the recess. The elongated elements are arranged parallel to each other in a roof area of the structure, and extend in longitudinal direction of a rail vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a front structure of a rail vehicle.
